GED Online - Policies

The following is a list of policies and procedures for GED Online students. Please be sure to read these carefully before enrolling in class.

You must be a Missouri resident and at least 16 years old.
You must officially be dropped from school.
Your social security number is required for enrollment, but will not be shared with anyone outside of GED Online or DESE.

You will be required to go to an onsite classroom to complete the TABE tests and online orientation before you are given a username and password for the GED Online classroom.
Once you receive your username and password, we suggest you check in at least twice a week.
It is necessary for you, as the student, to keep in contact with your instructor.
To determine your progress through GED Online, you will be required to go back to an onsite classroom to post-test before you can move on to the next quarter or level of assignments every 90 days.

If you are going to be absent from class for an extended period of time but do not wish to be dropped, please contact your instructor.
If at the end of the quarter you have not post-tested, you may not move to the next quarter until a post-test is complete.
If your post-test is not complete within 1 quarter, you will be removed from the classroom.
You can be removed from the class at any time at your request.
