GED Online Policies
The following is a list of policies and procedures for GED Online students. Please be sure to read these carefully before enrolling in class.
Enrollment:
- You must be a Missouri resident and at least 16 years old.
- You must officially be dropped from school.
- Your social security number is required for enrollment, but will not be shared with anyone outside of GED Online or DESE.
Using the class:
- You will be required to go to an onsite classroom to complete the TABE tests and online orientation before you are given a username and password for the GED Online classroom.
- Once you receive your username and password, we suggest you check in at least twice a week.
- It is necessary for you, as the student, to keep in contact with your instructor.
- To determine your progress through GED Online, you will be required to go back to an onsite classroom to post-test before you can move on to the next quarter or level of assignments
every 90 days.
Exiting the class:
- If you are going to be absent from class for an extended period of time but do not wish to be dropped, please contact your instructor.
- If at the end of the quarter you have not post-tested, you may not move to the next quarter until a post-test is complete.
- If your post-test is not complete within 1 quarter, you will be removed from the classroom.
- You can be removed from the class at any time at your request.
